Hell Creek, Montana - August 2002
In August, Jane is ready to hit the road to Rockford. Woods Equipment Company
donates a semi-trailer and a crew of four. Together, the
trucking crew and the excavation team wrestle four hunks and 4,000 pounds of
rock from the earth. They swaddle the precious cargo in bubble wrap,
hay and plaster and load it on a semi-trailer for the 1,100-mile ride to
Jane's new home in Rockford. Jane arrives in Rockford on August 10, 2002
to anxious and curious crowds.
